Weekend Recap: CrossFit, CrossFit, & CrossFit Shopping

What a great weekend! It included all of my favorite things: lots of CrossFit, lots of great food, and shopping. Plus, the sun was shining for what felt like the first time in 8,000,000 years, so I was a happy camper.

Friday got started with the CrossFit Open and 15.2. More on that manana, but spoiler alert, it went really well :)

I was super nervous for 15.2 and didn't notice Coach Torpy photobombing me.

The next morning I was right back at the gym for the Saturday WOD. This one was a toughie, and I still feel it in my back. Not in a "I hurt myself " way but in a "I worked it real good" way.

For Part A, I started with 85 pounds and then dropped to 75 pounds. For part B, I used 135 pounds. I have hurt myself on deadlifts in the past so now whenever they are in WODs I usually go light.

After my new favorite breakfast, I did some things around the house and FURminated Walter. He was not pleased, but man does it work. I love that little short guy but he sheds like CRAZY!

Chorizo, Potato, Bacon and Egg Taco

That evening after Mass, Josh and I went to dinner at RT's, a Cajun restaurant in Alexandria. I have talked about this place a lot on the blog, but it really is a hidden gem. Not only is the food delicious, but they make the best Cosmo in town!

Shrimp & Crawfish Beignets and Oysters Rockefeller

That night we watched the movie "Foxcatcher." Have you heard of it? Wow! Talk about intense and Steve Carell is unrecognizable. It is based on a true story, and I highly suggest it. Normally I fall asleep after a big meal, but this movie kept me awake and enthralled. Check it out!

The next day was spent running errands and going shopping. I have been in need of new CF shoes for a long time, and finally picked up a pair at the Reebok FitHub in Georgetown. They had a fitness challenge going on featuring Double Unders (my favorite skill) so I had to partake (despite being in Uggs and jeans). You had a minute to get as many DUs as possible, and I finished with 102 unbroken. Woo hoo! If I have the most by the end of the month I win a gift-card. Hello new merchandise. Come to mama :)

That night we ate leftovers and watched the season finale of Downton Abby. Spoiler Alert: I am going to be so sad if Tom really does move to America. Besides Granny, he is my favorite character.

Right before bed, I laid out all of my new loot. I actually went shopping for new work clothes and came home with all new WORKOUT clothes. #priorities

Reebok Nanos, Reebok Socks, Lululemon Inspire II Crops, Lululemon Shorts and Lululemon Top

How was your weekend?
