Weekend Recap: Meeting Baby Alice

What a great weekend! Yet again, it was the perfect mix of having fun things to do and time to relax. That is the my favorite kind of weekend.

Friday night got started with a cold beer by the fire. I caught up on my trashy TV while Josh made us a homemade pizza. I was supposed to help but got sucked into all things "Real Housewives." I think I have a Reality TV addiction. Later we watched the movie The Judge. It was good, but I fell asleep in the middle of it. Along with my TV addiction, I am slightly narcoleptic.

Port City is located right around the corner from our house. Love me some local brews :)
Sausage and Onion...the perfect combo
The next morning we were up early to head to CF. I was still sore from our workout the day before which made this one even tougher.

We ran some errands after our workout, which included picking up some new toys for Walter. By the time we got home, we were ravenous. While I played with Walter, Josh whipped up another amazing meal: homemade chorizo, potato and egg tacos.

Walter with his brand new toy which, as of this morning, is now a pile of fluff...

That afternoon I met up with Kyleigh and Beth to attend our friends' baby's 1st Birthday. Charlie is the cutest little nugget and his parents know how to throw a good party: margaritas, tacos, other word, all of my favorite things. Plus, I love watching a baby smash a cake. It reminds me of what I look like when I get a Georgetown Cupcake. All hands on deck. Yum!

Charlie loved his cake!

That night Josh and I made dinner, and I promptly fell asleep on the couch before 9:15pm. Narcolepsy is a blessing real problem I tell ya.

Chicken Fried Venison, Mashed Potatoes, Salad, and Wine
On Sunday, we had a leisurely morning of coffee, breakfast and CBS Sunday morning before meeting Beth at Mass. After some spiritual uplifting, we picked up some barbecue and headed over to Emily and Phil's to have lunch with them and meet sweet baby Alice. Not only is she the smallest and prettiest baby ever, but she is so cuddly. We are now BFFs and I foresee a lot of fun times in our future. Welcome to the world Alice!

The rest of our Sunday was spent outside with Walter, doing laundry, and then another 9PM bedtime. I obviously got rested this weekend. This guy on the other hand was rather cray cray...

How was your weekend?
