10 Days Later...

Well my promises to keep you in the loop while I was gone were in vain. Despite my best efforts, my crazy schedule got the best of me. But, never fear, I have a lot to update you on now. I could probably make this recap 18 posts long since I did so much, but I am going to keep it brief. Let's get started!

I spent the first part of my trip in Arizona. Wow. That state is beautiful. I have been there before but on this trip I took the time to truly appreciate how gorgeous it is. I am already looking forward to going back.

The Grand Canyon was breathtaking. As a person who is afraid of heights it took a lot for me to sit on the edge like that. Made for a great picture though :)
In High School my dream car was a Jeep Wrangler. Had it been hot pink, I would have been in Heaven. My dad said they weren't safe so I drove our family suburban instead. This pink Jeep was like a dream come true and the tour was so much fun.

Lorissa and Me

On Tuesday night I landed in Texas and my sweet husband picked me up from the airport despite the heinous hour. (Damn you flight delays!). The next day we had lunch with my FIL, Bill, at our favorite seafood dive bar, Gilhooley's. I have written about them a lot because their oysters are the best. Plus, I love dive bars.

From there Josh and I drove to College Station for the Aggie Game and to spend Thanksgiving with my Dad, Linda, Sam and her fiance, Cody. Even though the Aggies didn't win (I blame the refs), we had so much fun. This was my first Thanksgiving in Texas in over seven years and my first time back to CS in four. I forgot how much I love Aggieland.

On Friday, we made the drove south (for 5 hours) to spend my birthday with my Momma and my grandparents.

Three Generations

I turned 30 on Saturday (crazy). My Daddy met up with Josh, my Momma, my Nene and me at Kings Inn for a delicious celebration. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better way to ring in the big 3-0. I was with my favorite people and eating the best seafood in Texas!

My grandma is a hottie!

Yesterday, we spent the whole day traveling minus a quick stop to have lunch with Bill. We couldn't wait to get back to this little guy. Josh and I both missed him so much. We had only been home for about 15 minutes before I made him try on his new jersey. He looks so handsome in maroon.

Thank you to everyone who made my birthday so special, specifically Joshua. I am so thankful for you and am excited to spend the next 70 birthdays with you too!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
