Weekend Recap: Errands, Errands, Errands

What a great weekend! Josh and I didn't have much on the radar and as a result we got so much accomplished. Plus I feel rested and recharged. I know the next few weeks are going to start getting hectic and crazy with the wedding getting closer and closer so it was nice to just chill.

Friday night I ended up working late and then went and watched Josh play softball.

Later that night we ordered Chinese food and hungout with our friend for the week, Golden-Eye. She is a pretty cool cat.

The next morning it was time for CrossFit. Although this workout looks pretty simple, IT WAS EXHAUSTING. The burpees killed me. Ugh.

After some breakfast, Josh and I went to a going away party for one of  our CF Coaches who is moving to Colorado with his family. It was nice to catch up with some of our friends that we haven't seen in awhile, and say good-bye to Ben and Brandi in such a fun environment. The best thing about CrossFit really is all of the relationships you make.

After the party, Josh and I ran a ton of errands. By 5:30 we were starving. We filled up on leftovers before finishing the series Generation Kill. Have you seen it? Such a great show. It is about the start of the war in Iraq and very eye opening. Also doesn't hurt that Eric from True Blood is in it ;) I highly suggest it! We also watched the movie The Purge which gave us anxiety and led to some heavy drinking.

On Sunday morning we went to church and then walked around Eastern Market. It was pretty warm in the direct sunlight so after a lemonade and pickle on a stick, we hit the road.

After even more errands (I love that Josh lives near a Wal-Mart), we took an afternoon nap and then started working on some wedding things. I love checking things off that to-do list! Later that night we sat outside for dinner al dente: turkey burgers, oven fries, rose wine spritzer for me, and a Dark & Stormy for Josh.

During True Blood, Golden-Eye's owners stopped to pick her up. Josh and I were sad to see her go. She is honestly the coolest cat ever. Now I need one of my own...hint hint.

How was your weekend?

Don't you love productive weekends?
I have seen this in those "what happens in your late 20s Buzzfeeds" where they point out that gone are the days where one stays out till 5am and then sleeps the rest of the day (although that can happen every once in a blue moon, case and point when Alycyn visited last); and more and more often are the days were one likes to wake up early and get sh*t done :)

Did you watch True Blood?
Holy Eric & Jason!
