Weekend Recap: Registering

Lots to fill you in on over the past few weeks. I will be doing just that in multiple posts but until then here is what I was up to this weekend!

On Friday Josh and I got the weekend started off with a WOD:

Part A:
AMRAP in 3 minutes of:
Rope Climb
Followed immediately by:
Part B:
AMRAP in 6 minutes of:
3 Toes to Bar
10 Double Unders
6 Toes to Bar
20 Double Unders
9 Toes to Bar
30 Double Unders
12 Toes to Bar
40 Double Unders
15 Toes to Bar
50 Double Unders
…Continue adding 3 Toes to Bar and 10 Double Unders each “round” until time is up.

We both hadn't been to CF in over a week, and I could tell. I felt nauseous and exhausted after the first part of the WOD. I did 6 rope climbs Rx (which I was happy about) but then I could hardly move through the AMRAP portion. Ugh! Time to get my booty back in gear....especially since the CF Open starts this week!

We got home after the WOD, hobbled around, ate dinner, and crashed!

The next morning we went straight to CF to get in our first Saturday WOD in a month because of pre-cana. I could feel my time off in this WOD as well:

5 Rounds of:
10 KB Swings (1.5/1 p)
10 Box Jumps (24/20)
4 Rounds of:
10 Overhead Walking Lunges (45/35 plate)
10 Hand-Release Pushups
3 Rounds of:
10 Air Squats
10 Russian Twists (1.5/1 p KB)
2 Rounds of:
10 Ring Dips
10 Situps
1 Round of:
10 Handstand Pushups
10 Burpees

I finished in 22:20 Rx. Not necessarily happy with my time, but I was happy that I Rx'ed.

Once we finished getting our sweat on, Josh and I got ready and made our way to Bed Bath and Beyond. It was time to start registering. Registering is harder than I thought it would be. I am a person that dislikes clutter and stuff. So picking things without having any idea of where you will live/what your house will look like/how much storage space you will have is hard! Plus Josh and I have nothing. I live in a studio and he lives in a fully furnished house in which nothing belongs to him. We are starting from scratch! Luckily, the people at Bed Bath and Beyond were super helpful, and we picked out some great things!

After our trip to BB&B, we had a quick snack at The Cheesecake Factory, and then started picking things out at Williams-Sonoma. We started off super excited, scanning things, and ooohing and aahhing, and then, we hit the wall. I honestly did not think I would make it to the car without needing to stop for a nap. Who would have thought that registering would be as draining as Murph? Ay Chihuahua!
He does not look that amused...but he was having fun!

The next day, I met up with my girlfriends for brunch. We tried out the new cheese bar in Eastern Market called Sona. I can drink bubbly and eat cheese all day so it was a winner in my book!

Later Beth and I got a much needed pedicure. I have had the same spec of red toe nail polish on my big toe for at least 4 months. It was time.
Excuse the pastiness of my legs...we have had a harsh winter up in these parts. My toes look cute though :)

The rest of the day was spent napping, going to Mass, and then watching True Detective.

How was your weekend?

Do you come back to CF after a long break completely drained?

Did you find registering exhausting?
It was lots of fun don't get me wrong but I was pum-tuckered out at the end. And we are not even close to finished!

Do you watch True Detective?
If you don't, you need to! So good!

  1. Registering is, in a word, OVERWHELMING!!! With my shower coming up next month we need to add mom said I need to add more things at lower price points. Ooops!

    1. hahaha I have a feeling I will be in that boat too!

  2. Haha! I have that same spot of red nail polish on my big toe right now. I need a pedicure STAT! Glad you're enjoying registering, I hope you get everything you wish for!
