New Year's Resolutions...

Today is my "January 1st" and the day I put my resolutions into action. I NEVER start my New Year's resolutions until my first day back to school, work, etc because I am usually still on vacation. However, last week was nuts and I didn't get a chance to decide what I wanted to focus on/implement them. So today is the day. Josh and I have a big year ahead of us (shameless wedding plug) so I decided to take it pretty light on the resolutions. Don't want to get overly ambitious or anything ;)

Resolution #1: Floss Everyday

I love my teeth, and ever since I got my teeth improved I love them even more. In an attempt to keep them pearly white and healthy, one of my resolutions is to Floss every day. I am great at brushing them, whitening them and chewing sugar free gum. What I am not so great at is flossing. So I am vowing to floss everyday this year! Here's to healthy gums and teeth :)
Right after I got my teeth fixed!

Resolution #2: Stretch 5 Times Per Week

In Junior High and High School I was flexible. I had to work at it, but because of drill team and cheerleading I could do left and right splits and I had a great toe touch. However, once I stopped participating in those activities I lost almost all of my flexibility. In crossfit, I can tell that my lack of mobility and flexibility is hindering my performance and keeping me from reaching my fitness goals. Hence why my second resolution is to stretch 5 times per week. My goal by the end of the year is to see noticeable gains in both my mobility and flexibility which will hopefully lead to further gains in CF. I might even throw in the goal of being able to do the splits again for shits and giggles :)
Flexibility/Mobility help in all aspects of life...especially in back squats.

That is it! Along with the usual things of eating right and saving money (which I am actively working on as well) these are my main two resolutions.

Did you make a New Year's resolution?

If so, what is it?
