5 Things Friday

Well Hello Friday! Boy am I happy to see you. Considering I thought Wednesday was Friday this has been a VERY long week. For people that work in politics/for the federal government, the President's State of the Union address is like our Superbowl Sunday and we are busy busy busy. Also the Farm Bill passed the House this week making Josh even busier. It has been years in the making and Josh has had to work a lot of weekends. I can guarantee that I will not be doing much this weekend other than enjoying finally having him back from work. Cheers!

In an effort to try to make my dirty hair presentable on Wednesday, I tried out a new hair do...a braided bun. What do you think? I was pretty proud of how it turned out and it was really easy.

Because of my crazy work schedule, I have not been eating as healthy as I would like. That is going to change this coming week. I plan to make lots of fresh salads and top them with my favorite homemade salad dressing. Recipe below:

Recently one of Josh's family's favorite restaurants, Gilhooley's Oyster Bar, was declared the Best Seafood Dive Bar by Andrew Zimmern. It has, without a doubt, the best smoked oysters ever. We try to stop by whenever we go and visit Josh's Mom and Dad. Try the place if you are ever in San Leon!
This pic is from our visit at Christmas! Yum!

At CF every night after all of the classes have worked out, the top 3 men and top 3 women for the day go on the Leaderboard. However, if your score/time/rep count is really really really good you might even make the white board at the back of the gym as one of the best for that specific WOD. A few months ago when I was about to head out of the box my friend Brian mentioned that I was on the White Leaderboard. It was for a running workout that happened a year prior. I had been on that board for a year and I didn't even know! I was definitely pumped and am just now bragging about it. Woo hoo! Go me! Ok I will stop being obnoxiuous now ;)

Josh and my wedding is officially only 7 months away! I am so excited to marry him (warning: about to be cheesy) and start our lives together as man and wife! As much as I am excited for the wedding, I really am so much more excited to be married to him. Love you hot stuff!
The Riverwalk at Christmas: Our Church and hotels are on the Riverwalk in San Antonio.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
