Weekend Recap: Wine or Lose, I love Johnny!

My weekend got started with an awesome dinner prepared my handsome fiance. It was nice to take it easy after several crazy weekends!

The next morning, I went to CF for the first time in 10 days! I had tweaked my back and decided to take a few days off. I could still feel the spot that had been bothering me, but it was much better. I Rx'ed the WOD but MAN did it feel hard. Taking off just a few days got the best of me. Oy, but it felt gosh darn good to get my sweat on again. I had missed it.
AMRAP 9 minutes
6 Jumping Air Squats
6 Push Press (95/65)
30 Double Unders

Rest 3 minutes, then:
AMRAP 9 minutes
8 Push Ups
6 Hang Power Cleans (95/65)
200m Run

Josh and I refueled with protein rich breakfast of eggs, smoked salmon, lots of bacon and fruit. I also made myself a Pumpkin Spice Latte. Moment of truth: I do not like the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte! EEEK Blasphemous! I know, but it is way too sweet for me. My version is much better.

After I got all gussied up, I went out for an afternoon of theater. My coworkers were in a play that was put on by their church, and it was so good. It was a musical with a prodigal son theme. VERY entertaining, and the songs have been stuck in my head ever since.

The second the play was over I drove straight to Josh's new place to watch the Aggie Game. It was an exciting game, and my heart was racing a mile a minute from my anxiety. Unfortunately we lost, but I am proud of my team win or lose.
I told Josh to look sad...

The evening ended with a "Moving Back to Texas" happy hour for my friend Mary. Moving back to Texas has become quite the trend among my friends...but I understand why. The Lone Star State is the best place in the world! We will miss you Mary, but I know it is not good bye but just see you soon.

The next morning Josh and I ran a gazillion errands. First we stopped for breakfast at our favorite bagel place, then we went to Goodwill, two different malls, FedEx, Target, the grocery store, and then evening Mass. I prepped a baked chicken for dinner, and while it was in the oven I started an arts & crafts project for Junior League.

This week is my week to host the activity for the Langley Residential Center Reading Nights. I am doing a Pop Culture theme. The consumers and JLW members will first do a reading and activity related to famous actors and singers. Before they go home everyone will make their own microphone. Since we are short on time, I got most of the project started by wrapping 31 empty toilet paper rolls with black duck tape. Where did I get all of those rolls you ask? Well it is AMAZING what you can find on Ebay. Below is my sample of the finished product. What do you think?
1. Bagel and Lox (no cream cheese for me!)
2. My new jacket
3. Healthy Dinner
4. Microphone
How was your weekend?
