Friday night got started with some wine and a pasta bake which included fresh mozzarella, lots of Parmesan, spicy Italian sausage, fresh tomatoes and basil. It was soooo good. I will post the recipe soon. Josh and I recently started watching "Breaking Bad" and we are already hooked. We spent most of Friday night finishing Season 1.

Pasta Bake and Daisy's reaction to Breaking Bad. I am not sure she likes it as much as we do. |
The next morning it was time for CrossFit. I recently tweaked my back so WODs have been a bit more difficult for me. However, the one on Saturday required limited squatting and no olympic lifting movements therefore making it a bit easier on the ol' back area. Just because it didn't include those elements though it did not make the workout any easier. This WOD was a toughie.
AMRAP 20 minutes
5 Burpees
10 Box Jumps (24/20)
15 Sit Ups
200m Run
Finished with 7 + 14 Rx
After CrossFit, I got ready quickly and went to the Fall Festival for Langley. We had so much fun with the consumers making paper pumpkins, decorating cookies and painting banners. After the Festival, I went over to Emily and Phil's to catch the end of the Aggie Game with Josh and our friends. Thankfully I didn't miss much because the Aggies opened a can of Whoooop Ass and beat Vandy easily. Gig 'Em!
The rest of the evening was spent getting ready for a Halloween party. Josh and I both went as Avatars, and this might be might favorite costume of all time. I am OBSESSED with dressing up and start planning my costume ideas about a year in advance. If you tell me it is a costume party, I will come in full spandex and face paint. Don't even question it!
The next morning Josh went with me to run a quick errand and then we met up with our friend Deon for brunch at the Tune Inn. Tune Inn is a must stop in DC if you love hole in the wall bars/restaurants. That afternoon we dressed Daisy up in her Halloween shirt and took her for a walk in Eastern Market. She is honestly the best lil' dog, and I was sad to give her back to her parents last night. After church that evening, Josh and I ordered Indian food and watched even more Breaking Bad. The weekend ended with delicious cookies that Alycyn got for us. Nom Nom Nom!

Daisy was not very amused when I put her shirt on her, but she got happier once we were outside! |
