Weekend Recap: Just Beachy!

Josh was out of town this weekend so I was a single lady. Immediately after work on Friday I went straight CrossFit. I honestly had NO workout motivation, but I made myself go...and like always, I was happy I did. That is the thing with working out. Sometimes when you are not in the mood you just have to push yourself to get there because in end you always get in to it once you get started. The WOD on Friday was:

Run 800m
40 Russian Twists (20/15)
Run 400m
40 Russian Twists
Run 800m

I finished in 10:38 and made the leaderboard. Holla at your bad self!

After getting my sweat on I went to the grocery store, went home, feasted some grocery store sushi, and then hit the hay. It was a perfect Friday night!

The next morning, Beth, Alycyn and I woke up bright and early to head to the beach. It is roughly a 3 hour drive to Rehobeth, Delaware, but with such great company, the hours flew by. We spent most of the day reading in the sand, soaking in the sun, and drinking strawberritas. A cold front had come in the night before, and despite being a sunny day, the wind was chilly and the water was rough. I hopped in the water only two times and that was two times too many!

On the drive home we stopped at the outlets for some shopping and Sonic for some grubbin'. We were going to stop at Cantler's in Annapolis for a dinner of crabs and beers, but the wait was over 2 hours long with an additional 45 minutes just to park! So, we decided to come back to Annapolis on another trip.

On Sunday morning, I woke up early to get my dinner started. I have been craving pot roast for awhile, but Josh has not wanted it since it is still warm outside. Taking advantage of my single lady status, I got everything chopped up and in the crock pot so that the roast could cook slowly all day. Then, I got dressed and went to CrossFit. I have mentioned this a million times before, but Saturday WODs are my favorite. Since I missed this Saturday's to go to the beach, I decided to go to the open gym on Sunday to make it up. It was a douzzy, and I was exhausted after but it was the good kind of tired. I knew I had worked hard and would reap the rewards!

4 Rounds
25 Hang Power Cleans (95/65)
25 Shoulder to Overhead (95/65)
25 Back Squats (95/65)
25 Wall Balls (20/14, 10’ target)

46:36 Rx
Since I had unlimited time I feel like I didn't go as fast as I could have, but I was still huffing and puffing at the end.

Beth had never tried Pho! So after CF, I met up with her and took her to my favorite spot, Pho Golden Cow. She loved it just as much as me! Yay! I think I have made Josh eat it too much recently so I am excited to have a new person to slurp noodles with.

We spent the rest of the afternoon by the pool, and then later I met up with Alycyn for a cocktail and some fitness certification studying time! I mean, everyone studies at the bar now-a-days right?

That night I ate my pot roast, and Alycyn and I watched the Sex and the City Movie. Sooooo good! I know I have seen it like a 1000 times, but I still cry like a baby when Miranda and Steve reunite on the Brooklyn Bridge. Ugh, tearing up again!

It was a fantastic weekend, and I am so excited that I am leaving for Texas this week! Woo Hoo. My weekend starts up again on Tuesday night :)

Do you like pho?

What do you do when you are at the beach?

Do you cry during the SATC movie?

Happy Monday!!!!
