Weekend Recap: Odds vs. Evens

The weekend got started with an after work WOD. We worked on snatch grip deadlift first and then the WOD was:

4 Rounds

50 Double Unders
10 Anchored Sit Ups
5 Squat Cleans (185/135)

I went with 90 pounds for the squat cleans, and I think I could have gone a bit heavier but not much. I finished in 9:15.

Josh and I were dog sitting this weekend, so while I was WODing, he went to the grocery store and got us tons of yummy things. That night he made his delectable** incredible stuffed peppers while I played with Molly.

The next morning, I woke up early and headed right back to CF for the morning WOD:

4 Rounds, 1 minute at each station, 1 minute rest in between rounds:

KB Swings (1.5/1)
Box Jumps (24/20)
Hand Release Push Ups
Overhead Squats (75/55)
Double Unders

I really like Fight Gone Bad Style WODs and this one was challenging. I completed 504 repetitions by the time the clock ran out and did it all Rx. When I got back to Molly's house, Josh had already made us a breakfast reminiscent of our trip to Cibolo Creek. We ate Chorizo and Eggs everyday that we were there, and Josh's were just as good....we missed the homemade tortilla though.

After breakfast, we threw on our suits and went to our friends Deon & Chase's house. They had filled up a pool and put it in the park across the street from their place. We spent the rest of the afternoon lounging in the water. Their house is right by a major intersection of DC, and I think at least 15 people stopped to take our pictures. We also created a new drinking game named "Hurley Ball" (Hurley after the creator) which is similar to beer pong. In HB you have 15 seconds to get as many ping-pong balls as possible in the cups floating on the baking tray. Every person has a corresponding number on a cup, and the person with the cup that has the most ping pong balls in it has to drink. Eventually we had too many people in the pool and started just using odd and even numbers, but it worked just as well!

On Sunday, Josh and I went and got bagels from our favorite bagel place. We then ran errands, went to the pool, and then I made Braised Paprika Chicken for dinner. It was completely paleo and turned out so well! I am excited to have it for lunch today.

We completed the weekend with some ice cream in honor of National Ice Cream Day while watching the newest episode of True Blood.

How was your weekend?

Did you celebrate National Ice Cream Day?
We had Wendy's Frosties.

**Josh makes fun of me for using the word delectable too much. That cross out was just for him :) His peppers really were incredible AND DELECTABLE.
