A Bigfork, Montana Wedding: Part 1

A little over a month ago, Josh and I embarked on a trip to Montana for one of his high school friend's wedding. The second we got off the plane I knew we were in for a gorgeous weekend...the view from the tarmac was already breathtaking!

The wedding was in Bigfork, Montana which was about 30 minutes from the airport. Josh had arranged for us to take a shuttle to the place we were staying. Inside the shuttle we met a nice British chap who became our chum for the rest of the weekend.

After settling in and rendezvousing with a few more wedding guests, Josh, Steve (our British friend), and I went and had lunch at a bar in town. Bigfork is the cutest little town, and I felt like I was on a Disney set the entire trip.
I asked a local man to take a picture of Josh and me with the scenery. He cut of Josh's head and the scenery...but he was sweet as can be!

Later that evening, one of the groomsmen had a party at the house he rented for the weekend. All of Montana is beautiful, but the sunsets are especially breathtaking! We had beers, barbecue, cupcakes, pizza and fun!
The first of 100s of sunset shots!
I love my man!

The next morning I went on a run. After about three miles around the town, I decided to go run at the high school track. It ended up being the highest point in town and had the most incredible views. After lunch I took Joshua back up there for some photo opps! You know I love those :)

We spent the rest of the afternoon by the lake and the pool, and then we went and got ready for the rehearsal dinner. The RD was right on the lake, and, like every place in Montana, had spectacular views.
Loving life!

The food was awesome. I had a steak and then proceeded taste everyone else's entrees along with eating practically all of Steve's (our British chum) fish. While drinking wine and eating dessert, we listened to speeches by the Best Man, Father of the Groom and the Groom himself. They were funny and heartfelt, and I shed a few tears. At around 10pm (it stays light in Montana until like 9:30pm) a GIANT storm came rolling in, and we made our way back to the hotel.

To be continued...
