Islamorada Vacation: Day 3

Day 3 in the keys started bright and early on a fishing boat. We had the most amazing guide. He has been on the show River Monsters, and he helped Josh and I catch tons of fish and a small shark. If you are ever in Islamorada and want to go fishing definitely call Bamboo Charters and ask for Captain Matt.   This was the best fishing trip I have ever been on...I have only been on two..but regardless he was awesome.
My handsome fisherman
Our small shark...I still wouldn't want to be near him in the water...SHARP little teeth
Getting my fishing on!
I'm On A Boat!
These were scary jelly fish like things that look like plants but sting like hell.
Back on the land with our catch!

At about noon we made our way back inland. Captain Matt filleted all of our fish, and we then drove over to Lazy Days. LD is restaurant that will cook all of your freshly caught fish. It had been recommended to us by several reliable sources including Captain Matt. When I am on vacation, I like to eat where the locals eat...then you know it is scrumptious and not a tourist trap. LD was everything that people said and more. The view was breathtaking, and the food was out of this world. We decided to cook all of our fish (we had 7 large ones) and have a feast. We had them cooked 4 different ways:

*Lazy Days Style-which has panko, parmesan cheese, tomatos and scallions
*Baked-which had panko and some kind of creamy mayo like inner was my favorite one

All of them were awesome, and we left feeling full and very very satisfied!
Our beautiful table side view
Lots of delicious, fresh fish...caught by Josh and ME!
After our scrumptious lunch

We spent the rest of the day laying out (me in the shade because of my burn), drinking Pina Coladas, kayaking, and hanging out a the Tiki Bar.
We were regular patrons of the Tiki Bar

That night we had our left over fish for dinner (room to tour to come...we had a full kitchen) and Blue Bell Ice Cream for dessert...woo hoo they sell it in Florida! After our early morning we were exhausted, so we had some drinks and relaxed the rest of the night.

To Be Continued...
