Columbus Day Weekend Recap Part 1

Last weekend Josh Maxwell and I were invited to the wedding of our good friends Corey and Christi. I decided to take that Friday off to make sure we were all packed and ready for our weekend adventure. I started off the morning with a 12 mile run and then some yummy Chocolate Silk Pancakes. They are my favorite after run treat right now!

Once JM got off work we hit the road for Stafford, VA! The wedding was taking place at the Birthplace of Robert E. Lee, and JM had booked us a cabin for two nights. It took us about 6 hours to get there because of traffic, but we did get a yummy steak dinner at a lil "mom and pop" restaurant along the way.

Our lil cabin was even cuter than I expected! I was in love!

After we got settled in, Josh decided to go hangout with the Groom and his Groomsmen. I stayed in and had some wine and a pie tasting! We had picked up two kinds while we were at the restaurant in town.
Coconut Cream Pie! I thought this one was the best!
Blueberry Pie! Just as yummy!

The next morning, Josh and I woke up bright and early to go play golf with all of the men in the wedding party! I was the lone lady, but I think I held my own!

After golf we were all STARVING. We were pretty much in the middle of nowhere, but luckily this yummy stand was on our way back to Stafford Hall! They were known for the best crab cakes and seafood around, and they did not disappoint!

After all of this food and the early morning, I was SLEEPY! So I took a quick siesta. We then started getting ready for the wedding.

To be continued...
