Happy National Margarita Day

Today is National Margarita Day! In honor of this sassy holiday, I am posting my favorite margarita recipe. It is inspired by the "The '09" Margarita served at my favorite Mexican food restaurant, Paloma Blanca, in San Antonio, Texas. Miss Toni, my Mommasita, is the creator of our version of The '09-er, and I hope you all enjoy!
Mexican Martini Style Margarita

Key Lime Juice (Fresh)
Agave Nectar (or honey)

In a shaker, combine equal parts tequila and cointreau. Then add two parts lime juice. So if you used 1oz tequila and 1oz cointreau then add 2 oz lime juice. Add a tablespoon of Agave nectar (more to taste) and ice. Shake 20 times. Pour into sugar rimmed martini glasses, add a slice of lime and enjoy!

You will never go back to a regular margarita again!

Cheers and Happy Margarita Day!
PS: If you want to plan ahead, Thursday is National Tortilla Chip Day!
