Channeling The Pioneer Woman

So lately I have become completely OBSESSED with The Pioneer Woman. If you have never visited her website I HIGHLY recommend it. Not only is she hilarious, but she is a very talented writer, photographer, and cook. In an attempt to channel the PW, I decided to make one of her many recipes that can be found on her website. Below is the step by step instructions on how to make a "Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie." However, this recipe below has my own twist in that being the broke Hill Staffer I am, I do not have a Kitchen Maid Mixer or Food Processer...so I utilized whatever I could find in my 4x4 foot kitchen. So here we go:
Below are the cast of ingredients: Cream Cheese, Cool Whip, Oreos, Peanut Butter, Powdered Sugar, and Butter. Pretty simple...huh!
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Now here is the part where a food processer would come in handy. However, I only have a lemon juicer. Place 26 oreos in a zip-lock bag, and try to make sure that most of the hair is out. Now, use all of your strength and pound those oreos until they are oreo dust!
Pour your oreo dust into a pie pan and spread it out evenly. Then take a stick of melted butter, and pour it all over the dust. Form the buttered dust into a pie-shell shape.

Below is what it should look like! Place the pan in the oven for about 7 minutes...just to set the crust.

After you remove the crust from the oven, place it in the fridge to cool. Meanwhile, combine 1 cup of creamy peanut butter with 1 package of cream cheese. This is the part that a kitchen aide mixer would have come in handy...however, I only had a spoon.

Keep on mixing!!!

When it is thoroughy mixed, add 1/2 cup of powedered sugar! Keep mixing...

Now add the entire contents of your Cool Whip container...and mix till smooth!

Pour all of the yummy goodness into your pie pan...

Refridgerate over night...

And then....EAT IT UP!!!! It was delicious....and so easy! Before we dug into our pie (we being Josh Maxwell and me) we also made another PW recipe....her BBQ Chicken Pizza...Phenominal...

All of the credit for above I give to The Pioneer Woman....check out her site if you have never been:
Bon Apetite!!!
