Halloween 2010

My beautiful roommate Alycyn and I do not have cable/internet. I actually do not miss either of the two...yet, not having internet does impede my blogging capabilities. Without the internet I cannot upload my pictures to facebook or to my blog for that matter. Thus, I have about 500 pictures waiting on my camera and tons of stories that need to be told to my incredible readers. However, NEVER FEAR! I plan to upload ALL of my pictures this weekend. Plus, during August recess I have a goal of producing at least 3 entries per week! All of my fantastic stories shall not go to waste!

Until then, I have decided to get ready for Halloween! Now I know what you all must be thinking..."Halloween!!! It is still a gazillion years away!"

Quite the contrary! Halloween is exactly 3 months, 2 weeks, and 4 days away...practically right around the corner. So there is NO time to waste. Halloween is my absolutely favorite holiday, and I take my costume very, very seriously. Last year, I did extensive research on my costume and was proud of the result. I watched countless hours of Youtube How-tos for make up and hair ideas, and I searched endlessly for the right clothing and accessories. Below is a picture of me as Poison Ivy:
Above is a close up of my face. I glued leaves to my eyebrows and learned this technique from a makeup artist on Youtube. It took about 45 mintues, and I had a lot of help from my wonderful boyfriend, Josh. He is in the picture below:

After putting together such an incredible costume last year, one can see why this year the pressure is on. That is why I have come up with a list of four costume possibilities for this year.

Option 1 (and my favorite): LADY GAGA!!! Not only am I a huge fan of her music and beautiful voice, but I also love her style and personality. I think she would be fun character to play for the night. Plus she has tons of different costumes from her various performances...so I have a lot of material to work with! I can definitely rock my "Pokerface".

Option 2: Chiquita Banana Lady...this one would be pretty easy, but I would put a twist on the old lady. Maybe Glue some fruit to my face...and I would definitely sing in Spanish!

Option 3: Biker Chick...I am huge fan of True Blood. This past Sunday's episode featured Sookie Stackhouse dressed as a biker/werewolve chick. I loved it! "Hammer Down and Full Throttle to Halloween." (That is actual biker speak...I googled it!)

Option 4: Alien....I have been seriously thinking about doing this one since November 1st of last year. This is mainly because I have an all green body suit from Japan that has never been worn. I originally ordered the body suit last year for my Poison Ivy costume. However, it did not arrive in time. I vow to wear it someday! "Take me to your leader!"

These are the ideas I have thus far....but I will keep brainstorming! YAY!!!!
